What's On (Go Wild! in Pontypool Park)

Join us for our annual celebration of nature and what members of the LNP are doing to support it. This year it is being hosted in Pontypool Park and we are displaying the 'Biotapestries' created through community workshops as part of the Gwent Green Grid project in 2025. The tapestries showcase species you will find across Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent and we've invited some local artists to come along to deliver workshops based on the tapestries. We have Louby Loo storytellers at the event, willow weaving and nest box making with Project Nestbox. You can find out what Gwent Wildlife Trust, Pontypool Community Council, Blaen Bran Community Woodlands and Sirhowy Community Woodlands are all about and projects they are involved with, as well as work that local authorities and the local biodiversity records, SEWBReC, are delivering. Torfaen's Countryside Ranger will be onsite demonstrating one of the ways they look after grasslands - plenty to see and do!
